Terms of Service
Plain-English terms for using StemAdmit. Last updated 21 July 2026. See also our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy.
1. Who we are
StemAdmit (“we”, “us”) provides online preparation for the ESAT and TMUA university admissions tests — practice questions, timed mock exams, a progress dashboard, interview preparation and personal-statement resources — together with 1:1 tutoring arranged through our agency service. We operate from the United Kingdom. You can reach us any time through our contact page.
StemAdmit is independent. The ESAT and TMUA are administered by UAT-UK; we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with UAT-UK, any exam board, or any university. All of our questions are original — we do not reproduce past papers.
2. These terms
These terms are a contract between you and StemAdmit. They apply when you create an account, buy a plan, or use any part of the site. If you buy tutoring, section 8 also applies. By using StemAdmit you agree to these terms; if you do not agree, please don’t use the service.
If you are under 18, please make sure a parent or guardian has read these terms and is happy for you to use the service — purchases should be made or approved by them.
3. Your account
- You need an account to save progress and to access paid content. Keep your sign-in method secure.
- One account is for one person. Membership access is limited to a small number of devices per account; sharing an account, reselling access, or circumventing the device limit is not permitted.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms (for example account sharing, scraping, or payment fraud). If we close your account for a reason that isn’t your fault, we’ll refund the unused portion of anything you’ve paid for.
4. Plans, prices and payment
- Free. The diagnostic and a selection of resources are free — no card required.
- Hardest Vault (£5). A one-off purchase that permanently unlocks the vault question sets.
- Season passes. A one-off payment that unlocks your plan (Standard or Pro) for 12 months from the date of purchase. Season passes do not auto-renew.
- Monthly memberships. A subscription billed monthly until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account page; access continues to the end of the billing period you’ve paid for.
The exact price is always shown before you pay. Payments are processed securely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. Prices may change, but a change never affects a season pass you’ve already bought, and for monthly memberships we’ll give you notice before a new price applies. Prices include VAT where applicable.
5. Cancellations and refunds
You have a 14-day cooling-off period on every paid plan, and monthly memberships can be cancelled at any time. The full details — including how to request a refund — are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
6. Fair and acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, download in bulk, republish, sell or share our questions, solutions or other content;
- use bots, scripts or automated tools to access the service;
- share your account or access paid content through someone else’s account;
- attempt to bypass access controls, probe or disrupt the service; or
- use the service for anything unlawful.
Normal personal use — practising questions, printing the odd worked solution for your own revision, discussing approaches with a teacher — is exactly what the service is for and always fine.
7. Our content
Every question, worked solution, mock paper, guide and other piece of content on StemAdmit is original work owned by us. Buying a plan gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use that content for your own exam preparation while you have access. It does not transfer ownership or permit any commercial use, redistribution, or use of the content to train machine-learning models.
Anything you create yourself — your answers, notes and progress data — remains yours.
8. Tutoring and agency services
Our tutoring service introduces you to tutors — typically current students at leading universities — for 1:1 sessions such as mock interviews, personal-statement coaching and subject tutoring. Tutoring is billed separately from membership at the hourly rate agreed before your first session. Scheduling, session format and any cancellation notice for booked sessions are confirmed in writing when you book. Tutors are independent; we select and match them with care but they are not our employees.
9. What we don't promise
- No score or offer guarantees. Admissions outcomes depend on many factors. We build the best preparation we can, but no honest provider can promise you a particular score, interview or offer.
- The predicted score is an estimate. It is generated from your practice performance and is not an official prediction.
- Availability. We aim to keep the service available at all times but occasional maintenance or faults can interrupt it. We’ll fix problems as quickly as we can.
10. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Otherwise, we are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms or our negligence, up to the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not responsible for losses that are not foreseeable, for business losses, or for problems caused by events outside our reasonable control.
11. Your statutory rights
These terms sit alongside your rights under UK consumer law — including the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which entitles you to digital content that is as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. Nothing in these terms reduces those rights.
12. Changes and ending the agreement
- We improve the service continually and may change or withdraw features. If we make a change that materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we’ll tell you and you may cancel for a pro-rata refund of the affected period.
- We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes we’ll give notice (for example by email or a notice on the site) before they take effect. The date at the top shows the current version.
- You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time through our contact page.
13. General
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. A delay in enforcing these terms doesn’t waive our right to enforce them later. You may not transfer your plan or these terms to someone else; we may transfer our rights to a successor business that will honour them.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also rely on the law of, and bring proceedings in, your home nation.
